Blue Lightning Excel Add-in

GPU-powered Excel integration supporting millions of embedded losses. We’re rapidly adding capabilities. This is the same Blue Lightning GPU-powered engine, fitted into an Excel Add-in skin.

The initial use-case aggregates a set of embedded loss files and inserts the result into a worksheet. It transforms the losses based on worksheet-defined parameters. The demo includes about 5 million rows of losses. Losses are fully encapsulated in the workbook and can be imported and exported.

The Excel Add-in comes with a built-in 30-day trial license. Individual and enterprise licensing available.

Instructions:

  1. Close Excel if it's running
  2. Be sure to download the appropriate version for your Office install
  3. Run the installer and follow the instructions
  4. There will be a new Blue Lightning tab in the Excel ribbon
  5. You can edit an Engine object by double‑clicking it

Blue Lightning Mini Stack

Very quick to try: no installation required — just unzip and run. This full‑stack Windows x64 mini platform ships with demo portfolios and a console client. The console UI is a REST‑only Windows client that communicates with the Blue Lightning server via API endpoints.

This package includes the Windows server executable for development and testing. The enterprise server product can be deployed as a Windows service, Linux daemon, Docker image, or Kubernetes pod for production environments.

Why We're Sharing This

We believe there is too much vaporware in the world. A good way for us to prove Blue Lightning's capabilities is to let customers experience them firsthand. This mini stack gives you immediate access to a complete, scaled down version of our enterprise analytics platform.

Instructions:

  1. Extract the ZIP file to a directory of your choice
  2. Open the folder and run launch.cmd to start the service and the console app
  3. To view HPLF and edit models, install the Workshop beta (below)
  4. View the OpenAPI definition at http://localhost:8080/v1/openapi
  5. To stop the service, press Ctrl+C in the service window (might take a bit to shut down)

Notes:

  1. Performance: the system supports 100+ nodes, this demo only includes 2
  2. The loss data and layer terms are randomly generated and may not be very realistic
  3. There's a lot going on, contact us for a tour

Blue Lightning Workshop (Beta)

Blue Lightning Workshop is a Windows application, currently in beta. It is designed to create and edit Blue Lightning models and to view loss files (HPLF and CSV).

There is still much to do before it becomes a full workshop experience, but it's a good way to interact with the platform today.

Instructions:

  1. Download and run the installer

Notes:

  1. Registers as a Blue Lightning model editor (.blm)
  2. Registers as a High Performance Loss File viewer (.hplf)
